Children – Youth – Schools



There are Crèche facilities for 0-3 year olds, during the 10.30am Service.

Young people

Young people are in the 10.30 service which has an age appropriate ‘All Age’ short talk and song for them for the first few minutes after which they go out to their Scramblers and Junior Church groups.

Scramblers and Junior Church

Scramblers for aged 3 years and over meet in the Scramblers Room in the Church building  every Sunday during term time.

There is a morning Junior Church with groups for  children and youth.

Baby & Toddler Group

The Baby and toddler group meets on the first Wednesday of each month during term time, 1.15pm to 2-30pm..

There are a number of schools in the parish with which St Wilfrid’s has good links. One of these, Davenham Church of England Primary School, being a church school, also has more formal links including their admission process

Applications for Davenham Church of England Primary  School 

Please note that any parent (s)/carer (s)  intending  to  apply for a Davenham Church of England Primary School place using  frequency of attendance at St Wilfrid’s Church, Davenham as the  criteria need to have their attendance  at the Church Service  formally  recorded  (not just attend without  being formally recorded) at least  a year in advance of the closing date of applications. It is the responsibility of the parent (s)/carer (s) to make sure this  happens, and that attendance satisfies  the criteria’s definition of ‘faithful and regular’ .
